ANTINUCCI IN RACE 1 QUALIFIED 5TH IN CLASS AND 9TH OVERALL OUT OF 36 CARS ON THE GRID. THIS WAS AFTER RICHARD WAS ONLY ABLE TO GET IN 1 OUT LAP AND ONE FULL LAP DUE TO RED FLAGS. THE RACE STARTED OUT WITHOUT REALLY STARTING AS THE CAR HAD ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND WOULD NOT START. THIS UNFORTUNATELY LEFT RICHARD NOT ABLE TO DRIVE AND LUKE UNABLE TO DRIVE THE SECOND HALF OF THE RACE.
LUKE QUALIFIED 8TH IN CLASS AND P19 OVERALL OUT OF 36 CARS ON THE GRID. THIS WAS AFTER CONTINUED PROBLEMS WITH CAR NOT BEING ABLE TO GET UP TO SPEED AND OPERATE PROPERLY. THE DAY AFTER QUALIFYING AND AFTER RACE 1 WHICH NEVER REALLY STARTED, WAS RACE 2. LUKE'S CAR PROBLEMS CONTINUED AND THEREFORE WAS UNABLE TO START THE RACE.
THIS RACE SEASON CONTINUES TO BE A TOUGH ONE WITH ERRORS AND MECHANICAL ISSUES UNRELATED TO LUKE AND OUT OF LUKE'S CONTROL. IN FREE PRACTICE 2 THE WHEEL AND TIRE CAME OFF THE CAR WHILE ON TRACK AT OVER 100 MPH. THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES IMPACTED THE CAR WHILE ON TRACK AS WELL WITH RANDOM SHUTTING DOWN OF THE CAR WHILE AT HIGH SPEEDS. THIS LEFT LUKE AND RICHARD WITHOUT ANY ABILITY TO RACE AND BE COMPETITIVE. LUKE CONTINUES TO FIGHT HARD EACH RACE, AND TO TAKE EACH SITUATION AS A GOOD LEARNING EXPERIENCE. LUKE AND RICHARD LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT RACE AT VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY WHERE LUKE BEGINS WITH A NEW TEAM AND NEW CAR. THIS CHANGE SHOULD PROVIDE THE ABILITY TO BE COMPETITIVE AT THE RACES.
